THE USE OF A SELF-AND-PEER FEEDBACK RUBRIC

The use of a rubric for self-and-peer evaluation can help students rate themselves and their teammates. However, simply providing students with a rubric to complete the evaluation may not be sufficient. It can be useful for instructors to facilitate sessions that help students reflect on the different performance levels and understand the behaviors expected at each level of the rubric. Thus, this pedagogical resource provides a learning module and accompanying instructional materials (PowerPoint slides and a student handout) that instructors teaching team-based courses can adopt to prepare students to use rubrics more effectively when conducting self-and-peer evaluations
