Eco vs. Economy
Nursah Yakut, Purdue University
The Eco vs. Economy: The NovaTech Decision is an interactive H5P case study designed to support character development through sustainability-focused engineering decisions. In a realistic product-development scenario, learners guide NovaTech’s team as they balance cost, production timelines, environmental impact, regulatory pressure, organizational reputation, and stakeholder expectations. Through branching decisions and reflection, learners examine how character traits such as practical wisdom, integrity, courage, respect for different perspectives, and environmental responsibility influence both technical choices and organizational outcomes.
